Getting stuck:

Here's my take on the the sketch for the first of the month over at Stuck. I have always loved being a part of the Stuck design team..Sara runs a great sight and I love the sketches we get to work with. If you are interested in becoming a DT member with me check out the details here .

This is a shot froma series of photos taken of my boy with his outdoor toys..They just get me these photos - which is why I keep scrapping them! Lots of scrap and tidbits on this layout.. Handcut the arrow. Cannot wait for my sillhouette cameo to I don't have to do that anymore!! The' boy thing'  title I created in photoshop and printed with the photo. The 'remember this story' card is from
Studio Calico roller rink printables range..I love working with various versions of this colour combo.

Summer lovin'

Well we are away on vacation! Yay! Now normally I don't blog.

I take January as a technological hiatus - well lucky you - here I am!

I have been instagramming like a mad thing.. It's a very obsessive 'mini photography' hobby for me. I like the fact that I can edit, filter and post on the go. So the big camera hasn't come out that much as yet. But I did take a few snaps the other evening - so I though I would share:

Yes - Miss M is a cheeky little thing totally digging being away..
Yes - he has the biggest blue eyes EVER.. I think they are bluer because his hair is blonder?

Happy New Year Everyone!

It's a Block Party!

Finally time for my first Studio Calico big reveal! The build up has been intense - especially with Christmas thrown in as well! I really loved my first kit, BLOCK PARTY and had lots of fun mixing it up with the add-ons:   Pollard Ave, Pioneer Dve and Woodbrooke Rd.

Can you tell how much fun I had?? Eight layouts in total! Pretty much a record for me during the silly season! Being very new to Studio Calico I must say that I loved the printables. I had always steered away from this type of thing. But they are very easy to use and extremely versatile. I simply printed them onto matte photo paper and I hand cut most of them that you see on pages. Simple enough? I have ordered myself a silhouette cameo bundle and some of my fellow DT members reliably inform me that it will cut out the printables precisely - and then I'll be able to use the cut-out files available too! I have also used the digital brushes this month. I have printed some on photos and used some as embellishments..The shipping tags you see on a few of my layouts are new to the SC shop too and I love them - go get your hands on them while you can! I need more colours I think!

Stay tuned I'll let you know how I go next month after I actually get my hands on my cameo!

Thanks for looking!

Tis the season:

to scrap all things Christmas.. I had a play with December's Studio Calico kit 34th Street.. I also got the add-on Murray Hill and I really had a boom when I played with this kit.. I pumped out these four layouts in two afternoons. There is one layout that isn't Christmas related..For the Chrissy layout I used photos I had left over from my December Daily album - which I still have been working on and will share before the 25th - I promise:

I seriously loved the silver glitter pack in the main kit..I have used it on three out of the four layouts..I love the printables from the 25 days class too.. ( peace and Joy and happy holidays tag) ..
Perfect for Christmas..I didn't get the Christmas inspired add-on kris kringle but I quite like making themed layouts work in different colour schemes??

What do you think?

Stuck in Dec:

I really meant to make my Dec layouts for Stuck to be Christmas inspired..But I am sorry to say - yhis year it just didn't happen. Oddly enough, I have scrapped all of last years xmas photos andI didn't have any ready to go in Nov this year. I did kinda create it with Christmas colours??

A bit of stamping and misting which I was working with alot back in Nov. Dec brings extra responsibility tho..And for me that equates to less fuss with backgrounds!! hehe! As usual alot of stuff that is old..But there is some new product on here too.. Some Studio Calico roller rink kit products including puffy stickers.. And the vellum thought bubble..Which is totally COOL...

Plus the photo.. My darling boy..In his handmade "R" shirt.. Thanks to his fab Aunt Cindy who cleverly created this for his birthday.. We LOVE it..

Bye for now..
Remember that exciting news?
Only  days away now...
Ready to share...
