And we were worried we wouldn't get any decent shots??? Seriously? How beautiful are all of these? And these are only MY faves..The little crazy arty ones that appeal to me rather than the simple portrait..Although I have included a couple of those too.. These cute little twinnies were SERIOUSLY tired and really not that willing to play the photography game..Just to show you an out take of what they were like when placed on grass:

Challenged..

Well I was totally challenged by this colour - or lack of colour scheme.. I am not even sure I have done it right? Think it is supposed to be on white cardstock? I didn't have anything grey to mask with on white so I opted for black instead. I watered down white paint. Used th girls water spray to mist it on. Even still you can barely tell I masked the clouds..Sigh.. Lack of grey materials too - so I photocopied some of my new boy papers.. I did find some grey stuff upon closer inspection of my scraps though..Worked ok. Anyway...I decided to do it ..But I really do prefer colour in my life!

White With One Challenge

So I ventured over to the Colour Room ....Surely their title implies a much more appropriate challenge for moi...Well monochromatic green isn't exactly the colour palette of my choice, but I had a go and I quite like the natual feel of this colour combo. So much so that I added my little woodland friend, a little tree and some handdrawn grasses too! Of course I was able to use my lovely chocolate and green glimmermists too!

And after all this..I had a play on my own and SPLASHED out on colour... I love this range of boy papers from Echo Park.. So fun and bright.. Like my little fella in the plane and his banner? It definitely needed a pilot! Got this idea,( along with my clouds on string - from a previous post ) from the Cottee's: 'I'll change my name to Elizabeth' advertisment!  And the other 'little fella'...Well he was only minutes old in these shots and giving his lungs a little test run!

I am a little bit excited! I was a winner at The Kraft It Up November challenge and also a winner at Scrap the Girls too! I was very pleasantly surprised..I am having so much fun with the challenges..didný really care if I won..It was good just to be in it for the inspiration..Having said that..I won!!!
Happy Monday everyone..Getting into the Xmas spirit at lst around here.. A couple of photos to share:

Vivid..

Here is my take on the Kraft It Up Christmas challenge. I have scrapped my out takes from our recent attempt at the inaugral Xmas card photo.  I had a play with the lovely Christmas range from Echo Park Papers.. I also incorporated knots as requested..There is a knot in the lace below the photos and in the decorations too.  Of course glimmermist and the rest is just scraps..

My pink glimmermist is bizarre! comes out all splatty? Ah well..Interesing effect.. This was a quicky to commerorate their missing top teeth. Used a lot of old product..You will note the circular Heidi Swapp sticker circa 2005??

Ahhhh.....Some blueness.. So soothing.. I really like this layout. A bit eclectic..and I really wanted to sew through the hearts and over the cool lace..But alas I sewed TOO quickly over wet glue..Typical ME behaviour..and the sewing machine has spat the proverbial dummy...Got out the old alpha stamps too..

Here is my Get Picky December challenge layout. Inspired by the cool Audrey Hepburn quote pictured below.... She certainly does believe in PINK. A really girly girl for all her business and independence. Loves dolls and bags and dressups... Had another run at those alpha stamps too..

 

And lastly my oldest little pumkin. Looking decidely older than her 8 years.. And yes she does have the LOOK.. I had a go at making a medallion that I saw a tutorial for on Steph CD's blog. Apparently a Martha Stewart original..I think it is kinda cool. My husband walked past the layout and his only comment.."Very 3D"..Dammit he is right..Not going to be easy to slide this one into an album. What am I carrying on about? I haven't slipped a layout into an album in 12 months! LOL! Nothing new on here..All scraps apart from the use of my lovely new MS punches....

So in retrospect my current style is what I would call VIVID..What do you think?????

I am thankful for this..

and for being well again.. Reading all these lovely American ladies blogs..I felt like giving thanks too..

I have an amaking array of eclectic looking layouts to share.. Just haven't photographed them yet.. Have been busy washing and cleaning and editing and creating a Christmas card that has all five of my darling angels looking TOWARD the camera! Took the shot on the weekend when I was sick..Probably a stupid idea. I actually think it appears ok..All things considered..
