A colourful life..

My scrapping existance revolves around colour..Bright and lots of it.. I hope it's a refelection of how I live my life.. So with that I was always find the White With One challenges particularly difficult.. This was my second shot at using bright pink and white.. I like it..But I also don't... I love the little hanging hearts...So cute.. I itched the whole time to add some green or aqua..SOME extra colour...
On the banner each flag has a letter saying 'love her'....Can't really tell in the shot..

Thanks for stopping by...
Bye!!!

Close..

To the end of the month..Better get a few challenges loaded:

The challenge was to use the quote:
'There is no greater gift than today'
Kinda appropriate for the birth of my only son.. I treasure these first photos with him. He was so sweet and tiny. He's such a boofa now. I like scrapping in reverse.. When some time has passed and the photos bring back delicious memories while you are scarpping them.
Lots of misting goin on here.. I misted the heart..The doilies..which make a cool bunting banner..And I think I even misted the background??

Some Sassafras products, scrap papers and new thickers..Yummy..

This is one I completed at the 12hr crop a few weeks back.. The challenge was to use a 'she' quote..
I have used:
'She has this way of brightening the day'
Cause truly she does..When she's not being a pill, biting her sisters, whining " I want too"when I say no to her! LOL!
Some of the yummy new vintage prima flowers on here. Some old flowers too and believe it or not there are three heart shaped doilies onder there some where..They started out as the feature and then just kinda got lost as I put more and more stuff on there! Typical me!
Off to photograph a wedding this afternoon..Wish me luck!

7 x12: March

The last two were right near the end and they amake me smile..The kids were pretty much over the whole thing... But of course the three big girls were still trying hard.. Milla was DONE..Rylan was close and I think Rodda and I were close to needing another cappuchino!
So 7 people 12 times got some serious kick ass this month...
I love the top one in the tree..
More shots that I love - just not with all of us necessarily:

I Luuurve this one.....

I had to include this one because dratty Miss M was ACTUALLY looking at Kirsty and her fingers were ACTUALLY not in her mouth.... Bless my other three little 'mini models'...

Oh my gosh..This just took my breath away...

I must say...that Kirst and I were perfect to photograph each other 'large' families...We both understand really well the difficulties faced with trying to capture them ALL perfectly.. Basically it CANNOT be done.. Instead we run with the motto Tara Whitney embraces "Perfecty Imperfect"...

Now I just have to decide which ones to "go large'with..
Might have to be a quite a few I think..
Look out walls here we come!

Sneak peek..

...at our reciprocal family photoshoot over the weekend..I have just seen the photos I took (and she edited) for Kirst over at her blog - here. I was so relieved and happy that they turned out for her so well.. But like the comment I left for her..A photographer can only work with the raw materials she was given..And lets just say the materials were pretty darn good..The love and bond you and all your boys share was so evident and made it a pleasure to photograph you..
So here is just a sneaky peek at some that she took for me.. and let me add there is plenty of love with this little not so little lot...More to come...

Kirst...we are definitely doing this again..
Awesome..

Thankful Thursday..

Today I am thankful..

  • for 9 SOLID hours of sleep! Yay! It won't last I'm sure...But feeling good today..
  • so I am thankful too to my darling boy for sleeping from 11pm - 8am

  • maple syrup on my porridge
  • my morning coffee
  • that I can make her laugh and smile like this..on a daily basis:

  • my very old cat who runs and greets me after my walk like he hasn't seen me in months
  • helium balloons..they make my job easier, by making little girls smile and they make great photos too:

(Pippa...one of my fave little people to photograph)

  • my husband who slots my return to exercise back into our 'free't ime each day like it never even disappeared..
  • blue skies and a cool breeze..perfectly Autumn..
  • milk that is delivered to my door in time for brekky..
  • yummy gourmet sausages...it makes sausages, veges and mash a much nicer dinner than in my childhood!
  • my drying cupboard..Aahh..
  • vege eating children..
  • the peace of five sleeping little ones..So that I can blog...

Stuck sketch challenge:

Here's my take on this Stuck sketch....
Have had a play with some of the new Kaiser Craft girly paper range..Cut out those lovely glittery butterflies..
A bit of Sassafras hiding at the back.. A bit of Pebbles paper too.. I have used the packaging of Elle's studio tags ( pink stripe) and I actually typed up my journalling. Which is virtually unheard of on my world!
Very old Heidi Swapp letters that I have glimmermisted. I have used twine in the pace or ribbon.. funky (and chunky) rose brad and some little handmade taggies...

Thanks for looking....

I can't live without..

My tiny humans..
Their tiny hugs..
Their tiny kissesss
They are my sunshine..

I was going to scrap my cup of coffee..But I didn't have a photo of it..So my kids will have to do!

Again a bit of the old and the new...
I have inked and misted the background. Yellow Daisy glimmermist..Yummy..
Papers- hmm not sure.. But the flowers..Sassafras foldies are all new. Prima is the spunky tulle aqua one...new.. Bellla Rd stickers and strips..New..  Liz K American Crafts bike..Old....Sassafras sticker bunting...New...And also as part of the challenge - to incorporate something homemade - I created the flower from that stretchy gingham ribbon, a button and a pearl..Tada!
Also, on the ancient side of my stash I have used my Making Memories Kraft word stickers..That I adore and continue to use frequently...

Happy holiday Monday y'all....

Because..

Seeing as I am trying to go to a 12 hr crop at the LSS tomorrow I thought it appropriate to post a layout:

This layout is for the Get Picky challenge.. The inspiration was romantic and gorgeous...
I have used a Cake Inc patterned doilie...Some Stella Rose stickers and brads and some old stuff too. The tiy paper roses I got at Lincraft ages ago and I love them. Webster Pages heart up there too.. The layout is all about Milla at age 2 and half. It is such a beautiful age. She is so cheeky, her language is steaming ahead and I wanted to document it...

and this photo:

He does not take a bottle and still does not sleep well...Hmmmmm. BUT he is eating well
and so I think I can manage to scrap - with feed breaks..
Gotta love a good Dadda..

xx
More challenges for MArch to come and any that I do tomorrow..

a eulogy...

for my hair...

I shall miss you..
I loved having your delightful thickness..
I admired the way you held your style..
The silkiness to touch..
Ahhhh..
Pregnancy locks are my fave..
The trade off obviously is the big belly that comes with it.
But.....
the hormones are gone and so is the hair..
by the handful it has fallen out..
Waaaaaaaa....
R.I.P
Gone..But not forgotten..
Photos taken Dec 2010..
When the rot sat in and the hair brush and plug holes began
clogging up with my
luscious long held strands..

Party pretties..

Her party has been over for a a while now.
Just getting round to editing the photos.
Being post-pregnant helped with my enthusiasm for this party.
I made the butterflies from white chocolate coloured pink. I traced around my Martha stewart butterfly punch onto wax paper and then piped the chocolate on. I used gel icing on the bodies and those sweet little balls..The cake stand is cardboard from House..
The tea cups were from a thrift shop. They were the party favours..filled with lollies and butterflies..
I also got the butterfly cookie cutters at House and used them to make the fairy bread...
Lots of pink and buuterflies. The girls all made a canvas using my butterfly punches too...
Good fun...
Happy Birthday baby girl...
