I am so sick! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! On my birthday! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I have had the chills, the fever, the chills, the fever...Night time is the worst..I wake up after struggling to sleep with heat to be literally in a pool of my own sweat ( you may want to navigate away now if this makes you gagorama! But then you will miss my birthday happy snaps..Toss it up..Make a decision...) I have to strip, change PJ's,  gargle, recharge on panadol ( dr's orders..Bloody man doesn't want me to take the antibiotics he gave me the prescription for until Mon - to see if my body kicks it on its own..Is he freakin kidding me????)  then feed my little manny all while my teeth are chattering in my head..The chills are back. They are like an evil duo sitting on my shoulders one red and one white egging each other on.."You take her on now..I'm buggered.."
Last night I even spat my throat gargle over the bathroom mirror because my teeth were chattering that hard..(If you are still reading you were warned!)

Any who..The bright spots on my otherwise dark week, has been my family..My girls played quietly for three hours while I slept with Rylan today..My sweet, darling, cherubic, cruisy little manny has been quite simply awesome..Same goes for the other manny..Total rock. Took care of a HOUSE FULL of guests last night while I entertained from the couch... Check out my awesome gifties:
New leather nappy bag..awesome!
Flowers from Rodda
An oil painting of the statue Suzanna from the local botanic gardens painted by Pa..
And I left a LONG wishlist at the LSS..and scored the LOT. Awesome...
Plus a little smooch for my cruisy little blue babe..

Oh and I got this little beauty... I am very spoilt...

BUT...Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....I am STILL sick!!!!!!!!!!!
If you hung in their through my ugly graphic rant - WELL DONE!
I will leave you with this sentiment....Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

How crazy am I?
Two posts in one day??
Plus a bit of scrapping?
All while under the weather.
Have a bit of a lergy..
Keeping myself topped up on throat gargle and panadol..
Any who...
This is my entry for the White With 1 November challenge: using yellow and white and jounalling directly on the layout.. All conditions fitted with my style and lellow - (yes..this is how Miss M says it - so this is how we all say it..) is right up my alley right now..
As is bunting and lace..
Hence the resulting finished piece!
Oh and before glimmermisting, I sprayed the back of the cardstock with a fine mist of water from my girls bottle that I use on their hair. It worked! No wonkiness and fairly flat too - only issue??
I FORGOT that there is conditioner IN that spray bottle to help with tangles!!!!!!!
So water -  or water and conditioner?
I'll leave it up to you!

Just a little word of thanks to those of you leaving me such lovely comments.. To answer some questions you have:

I have a GOOD babe who lets me scrap while he coos at me in his bouncie..BUT I'm sure that won't last!
And older girls who also let me do my thing..
I don't always leave comments - but I love blog hopping too - and intend to be better at leaving love notes for others..
Also thanks for the tip re glimmermist.. Spraying a fine mist of water over the back first.. I will give it a go and post the results!
And a photo to share:

He is my boy in his giftie t-shirt from Rachel at Myrtle & Grace
Thanks love xx

What I have been creating:

My apologies for some of them looking a little wonky. When I use glimmermist the cardstock ends up curly? I get this but...I do put somethhing heavy on it for 12-24 hours to try and flatten it..But it doesn't always work..Actually it never works.. Then when I photograph them and crop them on my computer they never look as straight as they most certainly are! I like things to align on my layouts..Bit anal like that really. Actually -in  the 'BOND' layout the strips are meant to be crooked..So just the others.. Sigh..Any tips? I would appreciate any offers of assistance!

New challenges:

This lovely girly one with my little Milla Moo isn't for a challenge..But I scrapped it at Rachel's house this morning and I love it..Again with the bunting..

This bright coloured bundle (above) was my first run at the Get Picky sketch (below):

This was my second version of the Get Picky sketch and the one I finally settled on entering. I have rotated it 90 degrees..No butterflies either..replaced them with clouds and buttons..

Above: This is my entry for the jigsaw piece challenge  (below)over at Scrap the Girls.  You could only use each piece once and was able to swap out the stars..and include a title as well.. I found this challenge really difficult. I love to ADD LOTS of little bits and pieces to my layouts. So being limited was tricky.. I have used chipboard buttons for the circles.. Butterflies in place of the stars..

 [Nov challenge[7].jpg]

And finally: above is my entry for Scrap the Boys  challenge (below). I have sort of followed the sketch..Glimmermist circle.. I have altered two chipboard stars and a chipboard button (yellow on the left) by covering them with scraps of material and coating them in mod podge. I have also stitched over my chipboard title..Which by the way - is REALLY old Heidi Swapp letters. So old in fact - they were no longer sticky!!

Phew! That's all for now..I am challenged out I think..Happy weekend everyone..

More scrap..

(NOV Kraft it Up challenge)

I have been on a whirlwind..Craft wise that is.. Look at all these layouts! I have been busy.. Placing paper and strips in between feeding, settling, cleaning making dinner etc.. I think I am losing weight..Just travelling between my scrap space and the rest of the house! Wouldn't that be nice if it were true!

I am having so much fun with Glimmermsit right now. Every page has it..There are lots of wonderful ways to use it.. In the layout 'Just Us' I lais strips on white cardstock and spayed over them.

This then gave me the idea for the last layout pictured  - 'US'.. I created this one for the 'Kraft it Up' challenge.  My very first entry at this site.. Lucky I am a Kraft lover..Suits me just fine..Cool way to make unusual decorative border hey?

I love the breastfeeding layout. Such a special photo to have.. Am really enjoying swapping between boy and girl layouts. It's a new sensation. Shifting form girly products now and then.. I like it -  I do!!

Bye xx

This was how my Friday went:

A 'velcro baby'and a feral toddler.
Seriously..Every shop I entered the two year had a total meltdown.
EVERY shop.
EVERY shop I apologised for her..But held my ground about her behaviour. After the last fit throwing, high pitched wailing session in Best and Less - all because she was LEAVING through the sliding doors to the road while I was trying to pay - I scooped her up, slung her little pram ( which I had allowed her to bring along duh..) over the handle of R's pram..Who was SCREAMING like a banshee because I wasn't HOLDING him.. and high-tailed it hot and fuming back to the car.. Cursing under my breath all the way..

Of course I made matters worse becasue I couldn't resist stopping at the LSS, which is on the way home..To pick up a few items...Great..She proceeded to pitch a fit there too.. I took that one on the chin..My own fault..BUT I put them both in the car with the air con running while I paid up!

Bub wants to be fed.. Will post LO's created when youngest better behaved..With scrapping products bought when they were bad!

Just because..

She's super cute - when she's not being 'feral Beryl'- and because I wanted a pink injection!
Wet..wet..wet here.. MIGHT get some scrapping done...

a playmat on....

CRACK! Check out the amount of toys we have attached to his mat?  Poor little mite gets plonked under there ( more than I care to admit!) and his eyes dart side to side! He has so much to look at..The poor kid is on visual LSD!

Other than the intro of the playmat this week (9 weeks old) :
  • His eyes are turning blue..Beautiful blue..Like Milla's...
  • He is wearing 000 - almost all the time..(insert sad face here)
  • Is out of newborn nappies..( insert sad face here too)
  • He can see further and loves to look at faces..He has enough in this house to keep him entertained..
  • HATES when he has NO ONE to look at..Wails..Seriously..
  • Smiles
  • Giggles ( a little bit)
  • Coo's....oooohhh yummy..and only for me so far..
  • Raises one eyebrow at me...So debonair!
  • Loves his nightly bath with Mama or Dadda..
  • Is awake LOTS more..He he can stay up for two hours and sometimes has too when I am on my own and doing the dinner/bath time frenzy!
  • Sleeps well overnight...Albeit with me..Actually he makes me sleep better..Like a natural sedative!
  • Feeds ALOT. Hungry little caterpillar..Almost two hourly..
  • He get a boob whenever he whines and he takes it! Must be a bloke thing!!
  • Poos when he feeds..Hmmmm... No manners..

Holy Scrap!

So I started with this one:

Having had a spot of blog hopping the other day, I came across a challenge site called Get Picky and was inspired by their candy photo to create my very FIRST page for Rylan...My very first BOY page..and I LOVE it!!

I then went over the Scrap The Boys and thought I could maybe do their challenge too:

The challenge was to scrap in a superhero he is in his batman suit (holy sweetness batman!) ..I have used an actual comic I picked up in a book baazar for 70 cents..and some yummy glitter paper - in BLUE!!!
Of course - these 2 challenges set off a scrapping frenzy - I haven't stopped since..Now I have also made these:

Bought myself some chalkboard glimmermist too..Have been spraying my way through all my layouts.. I mixed blue and yellow on the last one here... Having not scrapped for the better  part of a year..I am coming late to the bunting craze..So forgive my overuse..
Lastly this:

A large canvas I created as a gift for my gorgeous Tamma's new little man Will.. It's actually quite large..Hard to tell in the photo..

So as you can probably tell - my little boy is having some good sleeps a allowing me some creative time..BUT..creativity means the house work falls by the way side - YIKES I have so much washing..ALL the time..I have washer woman hands..And don't get me started on the vacuuming..I do it one day and the next I could do it over again - how can four little people make so much mess so quickly??? My sweet little Milla follows me around with her vaccuum..Pity it doesn't really suck...Actually housework sucks...the big one!

When you're smilin'....

....keep on smilin'

The whole world smiles with you

And when you're laughin'....keep on laughin'

The sun comes shinin' through

You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed Sing like a bird
Dizzy in my head,Spin like a record...
Crazy on A sunday night..
Oh you make me smile...

With a smile and a song
Life is Just a bright and sunny day
Your cares fade away
And your heart is young..

Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find life is worthwhile
If you'll just smile, come on and smile.
If you just smile.

Did I mention his smile makes me smile????

Meeting a magpie...

Thank you Lindy for inviting us along to meet the awesome Nathan Brown. Not only was he totally down to earth, a Ballarat boy, one half of a set identical twins, but he was super cute too! We were lucky enough to have a chat for a good half an hour with him and were joined by my old highschool friend Scotty and his lovely partner Cindy.. Everytime we tried to wind it up we all just asked him more questions and he wa happy to oblige us..The littlies all ran around him and got to wear his medal...

Isn't Rylan happy about that! Found out that he and his family actually support the Magpies.. Totally cool.. Poor boy has already had surgery..He played an awesome Grand Final too..
Aaah...What a lovely way to spend a morning..A one --on one with one of our Premiership Players...
